«This gold medal at the Nationals has emerged has the top go-to, most sommelier-friendly riesling in B.C, a dry version based on great tension, freshness and minerality from old vines on its Kelowna site. The 2012 vintage has punched up the pear and lemon fruit, while acid and minerality remain intact. A complete riesling. Tasted June 2013»

The fruit itself gleams, held aloft by pitch-perfect acidity, a result of winemaker David Paterson’s hand not getting too meddlesome in the process.” Kurtis Kolt, Vancouver’s WE | The Westender, May 22, 2014

“This brand-new release is a crisp one. Apple aromas make way for pear in the mouth, along with a steely mineral quality with some faint effervescence and a big citrus finish. The acid makes this a juicy, mouthwatering style that loves to go with Asian food, lighter poultry, and pork dishes.” Jurgen Gothe, The Georgia Strait, June 13, 2014

90 Points, “If there is an icon label in BC, and I hate that moniker, its Tantalus Riesling with its signature acidity that provides a foundation every wine would want. Wild floral notes and warm, wet, stony, mineral aromas greet you up front. Peachy guava, mineral flavours flood the palate and while it looks a bit one-dimensional today this bottle will grow and live for decades. The estate riesling is made from six separate vineyard blocks ranging in age from 5 to 36 years. A fabulous food wine from pork to fish and beyond.” Anthony Gismondi, www.gismondionwine.com

91 Points, “Complex throughout, opening with intense floral, lime and petrol aromatics. Vibrant flavours of green apple, kiwi, guava, pink grapefruit and, of course, more lime. A dab of honeyed sweetness balances the zesty acidity, Long mineral-toned finish. Pair with ceviche now, or patiently wait for added nuances as this decade progresses.” Harry Hertscheg, Quench Magazine, November 2014

Best Medium White Wine award – “A certified Okanagan classic, and the reference for BC Riesling.” 2015 Vancouver Magazine Awards, December 2014

91 Points, “Young vines with just a bit of old vine fruit, made to taste: this has 10.5 g acid, 15 g sugar and a pH of 2.85. Lively and focused with lovely pear and citrus fruit and some grapiness. Keen acidity with a hint of sweetness. Fabulous.” Jamie Goode, The WineAnorak.com, January 2015
